The Challenge
In 2023, due to industry strikes, actors were unable to promote their films—including Heather & Learka’s close friend, Nia Vardalos, writer, producer, and star of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3. Rather than let the release pass quietly, Heather & Learka decided to step up and show up—using their platform to generate buzz, celebrate the film, and spotlight Greek culture with intention and joy.
They needed help pulling it all together: video production, editing, captioning, stories, and cohesive storytelling that could keep their audience engaged all week long—while staying true to their brand.
The Solution
With the release of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 approaching—and traditional promotion limited due to the 2023 actors' strike—Heather & Learka saw an opportunity to use their platform in a meaningful way. Their goal was to show support for their longtime friend Nia Vardalos (the film’s writer, producer, and star), while also engaging their community through authentic, culturally-inspired content.
To bring this idea to life, we developed a week-long content series, themed around the film and Greek culture.
